With WWE’s biggest event of the summer rapidly approaching on August 20th from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, talk amongst the WWE Universe increases with what matches could be planned for SummerSlam. Currently, it’s being speculated that the originally planned Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar match for the Universal Title may no longer be taking place and instead we will see a Fatal 4-Way also involving Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe. Recently, there’s been a lot of rumors surrounding plans for new United States Champion AJ Styles, a lot of fans thinking that a match against Shinsuke Nakamura is in the works following their teased encounter at Money In The Bank. According to Dave Meltzer on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, there’s no talk of having Styles face Nakamura and with AJ having a recent brush with John Cena on SmackDown Live, that is the more likely scenario. Additionally, PWInsider.com is reporting that Nikki Bella, who has been off television since WrestleMania 33, may be nearing a return and it’s likely she could have a match at SummerSlam.
